Amy Wistreich was appointed to the ZBA as an alternate in June of 2019 and as a full board member and Secretary of the ZBA in May 2020. Amy brings her experience within the architecture and building industries to the ZBA. Amy started her career in the New York office of Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects + Planners. After several years at KPF, Amy transitioned to the insurance and surety industries specializing in professional liability for architects and engineers, risk management and bonding for large construction projects throughout the tri-state area.
For the last two decades Amy has been devoted to community work. In the various communities she has lived Amy has been actively involved in her childrens’ schools, her synagogues, and local community organizations. Amy has served on numerous boards of directors and building/architecture committees, including the Fairfield/Westchester Chapter of Young President’s Organization Gold, The Grammar School in Putney, Vermont, Temple Beth El in Springfield, Massachusetts and Congregation Ahavas Achim in Keene, New Hampshire. Based on her accomplishments in non-profit work, Amy was selected in 2014 by The Wexner Foundation to complete the two year Wexner Heritage Fellowship for rising community leaders.
Amy studied Environmental Design at Syracuse University earning a BA in ‘91. Amy lives in Westport with her husband Carl and has three daughters.
