Appointed to the BOE in 2018 to fill a vacancy, Neil currently serves as co-chair of the Finance and Facilities Committee of the BOE. Neil previously served on the Westport Representative Town Meeting (RTM), having first been elected to the RTM in 2013. During his tenure on the RTM, he chaired the Ordinance and Education committees.
Neil graduated from Muhlenberg College (B.A. Communications) and Syracuse University College of Law. He also holds an M.S. in Labor Relations from the University of New Haven. A native of New York City, Neil has lived in Westport for the past 25+ years. He is a principal of the Westport-based law firm, Lennon Murphy and Phillips, LLC, where he practices in the areas of trusts and estates and real estate transactions. Neil is also an adjunct professor at Fairfield University where he teaches estate planning in their business school program.
Neil and his wife, Kim, have 12 year old twin boys, Dylan and Nathaniel.
