Register or Update Your Registration Online

Register online through the CT Secretary of State's office by clicking the button below. You may use this system to (1) register to vote in Connecticut, (2) change your name and/or address on your current registration record, or (3) enroll in a political party or change party enrollment (changing parties may result in losing rights in all parties for three months). If you move you must re-register to vote in your new town of residence. You can also use this form to change your address if you move within your current town of residence. Early Voting in Connecticut!

Connecticut has enacted Early In-Person Voting. In 2024, over 8,000 Westport voters voted early! 

In 2025, the Early Voting period will be from Monday, October 20th to Sunday, October 2nd. Hours are 10 AM to 6 PM most days, with extended hours of 8 AM to 8 PM on October 28th and 30th, 2025.

Absentee Voters

You can request an absentee ballot online, or by downloading a form and mailing the application to Westport Town Clerk at 110 Myrtle Avenue Westport CT, 06880. You may also visit the Town Clerk's office in person to apply for an absentee ballot.

Election Day Registration

Election Day Registration permits anyone to register and vote in person on Election Day who meets the eligibility requirements for voting in this state and is not already registered, OR is registered in one town but has moved to another town. By law, a person is eligible to register and vote if he or she is (1) a US citizen, (2) age 18 or older, (3) a bona fide resident of the town in which he or she applies for admission, and (4) has completed confinement and parole if previously convicted of a disfranchising felony. Election Day Registration is not available at your polling place, but is available at a designated Westport Town Hall beginning at 6 am. You will need to provide proof of identity and residency.
